“Brezza Vest”
Description
The BREZZA Vest is inspired by the Mediterranean coast in summer, with
vibrant clusters of bougainvillea and other brightly colored local flowers.
The gentle sea breeze leaves an unforgettable impression on anyone who
has been there.
The Brezza vest is worked from the top down. First the back yoke is worked flat, back and forth, and shaped with increases. Stitches for the shoulders are then picked up and knitted along the back yoke, and each shoulder is worked separately flat, back and forth, with increases to shape the front. Rib edges are worked around the armholes and the collar. The vest is then washed and dried flat. Both edges of the body are sewn.
The Brezza vest is designed to have approximately 6cm - 10cm (2.5 - 5) of positive ease when you have your bra on, meaning it is designed to be approximately 6cm - 10cm (2.5 - 5) larger in circumference than your bust measurement. For example, if you measure 105cm (41) around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body), you should knit size L. The body of the vest is slightly loose towards the hem. The width of the back / front panel before the rib (k1, p1) is 53 - 57 - 64 - 70 cm (21 - 22.5 - 25 - 27.5).
Size: S - M - L - XL
Length: approx. 56 - 57 - 60 - 64cm (22 - 22.5 - 23.5 - 25) (measured from the top shoulder). The back flap can be 3-5cm(1 - 2) longer than the front one.
Bust circumference: 94 - 102 - 118 - 124cm (37 - 40 - 46.5 - 49).
Gauge: 19-20 sts x 28-29 rows 10 x 10cm (4 x 4) in stockinette stitch on a 4.5mm circular needle, measured after being washed and dried.
You can hold a very fine strand of paillettes in the color of white, turquoise, cobalt, deep blue, silver, etc. together with the yarns for sky and sea details. Remember to knit a gauge swatch first. If your swatch piece is not too excessively bulky compared to other pieces, you are ready to start your project.
