“Here Comes Winter”
Description
Here Comes Winter
After our glorious spring, summer, and autumn (which all seemed to go on forever), we faced the inevitable arrival of winter, just a few days ago. Here it comes. Here it is. Well plow right through winter and embrace the change of seasons with fun indoor and outdoor activities. Right?
Walking is one healthy and peaceful way to get exercise and connect with others. I'm so grateful for my hiking and crafting friends and our conversations. Listening to music and walking helps to reduce stress and anxiety and you can do it year round. Who says you cant walk outside in the winter? You only need a little gear, including this cuddly cowl, and away you go! Its an exploration of easy two color knitting. Treat yourself to this fun knit today.
Pattern Information
This cowl has a few fun things going on. The cast on alternates between two colors. It also has corrugated ribbing, jogless striping, patterning, stranded knitting, increasing, striped ribbing, a little Fibonacci numbering and a relaxed bind off all in this one project.
The cowl is approximately 12 deep x 18 at the neck circumference and 22 at the bottom circumference.
Gauge is 3.5 sts./in. 5 rounds/in. Although I loved knitting with Beatrix (because of the yummy 30 ANGORA), this pattern will work with any other chunky weight yarn. M1 increases are done with the backward loop cast on.
