“Lethe Wreath (ornament)”
Description
With the holidays right around the corner, here is a simple ornament pattern for those little bits of yarn left from other projects. All you need is a wooden ring (for stability) and a little bow to attach to the wreath. Ive included instructions for fingering to worsted weight yarns, but it is quite easy to adjust and very forgiving. My favorite is to pair a fingering weight yarn with mohair to make a DK weight or novelty yarn for some fun pops of color. The rainbow ones here are done with Spice, the brown in the back is Borabora. Other alternatives that would be fun are Dazzle, Dazzle Metallic, and Athena.
Bonus? This pattern can be adjusted to make scrunchies as well! Suggestions are included in the notes section. All youll need is a hair tie instead of a wooden ring!
Materials:
Magic loop (using 32 cord), double pointed needles, or shorties will work for this pattern.
Fingering: US 3/ 3.25mm needles & US 4/ 3.5mm needles
Sport/ DK: US 4/ 3.5mm needles & US 6/ 4mm needles
Worsted: US 6/ 4mm needles & US 8/ 5mm needles
Matching size crochet hook for provisional cast on OR 1 yard of pony bead lace OR scrap yarn
2 wooden craft ring
1.6 satin bow (optional)
Stitch marker Tapestry needle Scissors
