“With Love, from Southland NZ”
Description
This cowl is a pretty quick project when you want a simple rib cowl but K3p2 is too boring on its own.
Pattern is for DK (or worsted) yarn - any yarn should work as long as it is soft! you want to show your love so please make sure the cowl that will hug the neck is going to be nicely hugging, not scratching!
Construction starts with a very small number of stitches, working on bias and increasing 2 stitches in each row, building new rib sections. Instructions are for a few rows but soon will become intuitive, just make sure you keep the ribs building up. When the piece is wide enough, half of the stitches are cast off and the other half is worked in the established rib pattern.
Gauge is not extremely essential, but approx. 20st/10cm/4in - not stretched
Dimensions: approx. 56 cm diameter and 27cm wide (before blocking). If blocking, please do it gently so doesnt stretch too much.
