“Line Dance Poncho by Creusa Gilmore”
Description
Measurements
Length from neck opening: 84 cm (33 in)
Circumference around edge: 188 cm (74 in)

The Line Dance Poncho pattern offers two separate fiber options: one for woolacrylic and one for cotton. Although the gauge is the same for both options, each option requires different needle sizes due to the differing characteristics of the yarns. Within each option, two needle sizes are listed: a larger size for the body, and a smaller size for the neck ribbing.

Each option uses a DK weight yarn for the background color, and a chunkyheavy worsted weight yarn for the striping (note: gauge is measured using the Dk weight yarn).

It is knit in garter stitch throughout the body and shoulder sections and in ribbing around the neck. It uses the slip-stitch (mosaic) technique to achieve the colorwork design. There is no seaming, however, it does require picking up stitches and knowing how to perform a 3-needle bind-off.
