“Popcorn and Candy Poncho by Thea Koss”
Description
One Poncho two ways. This poncho is offered with two different looks.
One a cotton version using a self stripping yarn held together with a light weight
solid yarn. The other a wool version using a sold yarn held together with a mohair yarn.
A simple but fun knit that incorporates invisible increases large bobbles and a beautiful icord bind off to give it a nice bottom edge. The poncho is worked on a large needle and knits up quickly. The self stripping yarn adds lots of color and interest but this could also be a way to use up left over yarn and tie it all together by running it all with a solid yarn. Note that amounts for all yarn is the same and yarn is held double to get gauge. Be sure to check your gauge. The poncho is oversized and does not need to be blocked. The large needles produce a squishy fabric with give. Included are links to videos to explain
special techniques.
