“Into the Trees Cushion by Anni Howard”
Description
Into the Trees is inspired by a winter woodland walk, enjoying the scent of the sweet fresh pine leaves, spotting seeds and saplings and crunching twigs underfoot.

The cushion starts with a provisional cast-on and is worked in the round. An afterthought opening is marked with waste yarn. The top edge of the opening is cast off and crochet chains create button loops. A st st flap is knitted onto the lower edge of the opening. The cast-on edge and the top edge of the cushion are grafted together.

Also required:
2 x 4mm (US 6) circular needles, length 80cm
5mm (US 8) circular needle, length 80cm
5mm (US H8) crochet hook for provisional cast-on
3 stitch markers, one distinct
Tapestry needle
Waste yarn in aranworsted weight for provisional cast-on
3 buttons 2cm (1in) in diameter
Cushion pad 56cm (22ins) square

Cushion measures 52cm (20.5ins) square. Using a cushion pad that is slightly larger will ensure your cushion is nice and plump!
