“Magic Hat by Vicki Myers”
Description
The magic knit in the round on straight needles, using double knitting. Sometimes circular 50’s are hard to get or cumbersome to use, so we thought it would be fun to make it on straight needles. If you happen to have a 24” circular 50, I’ve included the instructions using that needle as well, but you will have to use DPN’s or a traveling loop for the last row – decrease row. If you are working on straight needles, please pay careful attention to the cast on. You have to cast on in just this way to keep the opening open for your head!
