“Dans Vest by Sharon Bedford”
Description
This intarsia pattern keeps the confusion simple with yarn bobbins and only 4 balls to keep straight. It is the perfect beginner of intarsia pattern as you get a schematic for regular sizes and another for larger sizes so the information is less likely to be overwhelming. As always; make a copy and circle your intended’s sizing and read through all notes and instructions. Dan feels like a King when he wears this vest and it goes with most of his shirts so he has no trouble finding the right colored shirt. Silk Garden has many colors to select from to go with any wardrobe.
I left the details of ending a color up to the knitter and Silk Garden’s color length, so when a color changes, you can still follow the vest shape, yet get the full benefit of the yarn. You need to know casting on, Knit, Purl, wrap between colors, garter ridge, Knit 1, Purl 1 ribbing, Knit 2 together and bind off. Learn to knit 2 together through the back loop to slant the decrease to the left vs. the usual right.
