This shawl can be knitted in two different gauges which both wear beautifully. Both shawls were knit with a size 6 needle, but please use whatever needle gets you the gauge you choose. The shawl is knit flat but on a bias, so a recommended needle length is 24” or longer. Gauge does matter, as it affects the size of your shawl, as well as your yarn amounts. The finished lengths are measured along one edge, as the shawl is a parallelogram. The Lace Merino shawl is 14" x 75".
