“Wrapped In Cables”
Description
The straight shape begins with ribbing and a simple garter stitch edging.
The cable involves the use of 2 cable needles, worked over 2 successive rows. The intermittent rows are worked in a stacking rib and slipped stitch pattern.
As the stitch lends itself to either a square or rectangle, it could easily be customized to become your personal favorite dimension. I’m smitten with the versatility of this stitch.
Can also be knit as a scarf:
Scarf 4 skeins (832 yards) Kathmandu Aran 100 (85% extrafine merino, 10% silk, 5% cashmere, 208 yards per skein)
Gauge in pattern - 30 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches
