“'Candle Flame Shawl' by Doris Formby”
Description
This pattern is for a crescent shaped shawl, worked sideways with an i-cord edging. It can be worked in any weight yarn and with or without beads. I do love the feel and drape of the Nuna Fina. You can add beads which add not only sparkle but also some weight to the shawl which gives it an even better drape. The directions are written instructions and include instructions on how to knit the shawl in a different yarn. The pattern gives instructions for two different weight yarns (Fingering and Sport weight) and two different sizes. The lace edging is fully reversible; it looks beautiful on both sides. NEEDLES AND STITCHING:
You will need a US size #5 needle or larger for heavier yarn. For the beaded version you will also need 168 (96 for the smaller version) size 8 or 6 beads and a small crochet hook. How to place the beads is explained in the pattern.

The finished shawl will be 76" long and 14" wide at the widest point. Instructions are given for two sizes; the 76" by 14" and a smaller size 49" by 11.5".
