Great pattern if you're just learning to knit mittens. This fingerless mitten pattern uses a classic thumb gusset, and rolled edges for an easy comfortable fit. The right and left mitts follow the same instruction. The fit on these is meant to be loose and slouchy so gauge is not important; go up a needle size if you are a tight knitter, or down a size for smaller hands (or if a loose knitter).
