Vogue Knitting Cap Sleeve Tee & Cowl

Everybody is ready for spring and summer knitting.

Can you blame us?

The clocks change this weekend (Spring Forward!) and the Spring Equinox is 14 short days away.

To help our dreaming, the spring issues of all our favorite magazines are starting to pop up at local yarn stores.

This is a close fitting top with a stockinette stitch v-inset and sleeves and a lace body with raglan shaping.

It is knit using Debbie Bliss Cotton DK 9 (10, 12, 13) balls. This 100% cotton yarn is available in 18 colors.

The stockinette stitch section keeps the front modest.

While the back is racy with lace up to the top.

That is great ventilation for a warm day!

I bet it would be easy to add color to this garments by working the cowl or stockinette stitch portion in a contrasting shade.

Add the Cap Sleeve Tee & Cowl to your Ravelry queue.

The magazine does not give instructions for the yarn requirements for the cowl only so I contacted VK and was told that the cowl weighs 100 gm so 2 skeins would work but the length will be a little shorter.

Does anyone know why Vogue Knitting send a request bounces back as unable to deliver such as “This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

I want to get this pattern and I haven’t got a clue how or where to do that. It’s not included in the magazine from what I can find so can someone tell me how you buy a pattern from a particular issue? I’m new to Vogue Knitting. Thanks so much.

      Hi Barbara

The pattern is in the Spring/Summer 2014 issue of Vogue Knitting Magazine. That is the current issue you should be seeing at local yarn and book stores. The cover is mainly white.

The Cap Sleeve Top and Cowl is pattern #2 in the magazine. It’s shown on page 42 & 43. The pattern instructions start on page 75.

It won’t be available as an individual pattern right now since this is a new issue.

      I hope that helps!
      Ann
