Black Friday & Small Business Saturday

Happy Thanksgiving!

The holiday gift knitting and crocheting begins in earnest now. Just as soon as we wake up from our post Thanksgiving Dinner nap!

When you do venture out to start your gift shopping, don’t forget about the independently owned shops in your town’s downtown area. Small businesses keep our downtowns interesting and vibrant! Studies have shown that more of the dollars spent at locally owned businesses stays in the area compared to money spent at big chain stores.

Yarn shops are, of course, firmly in the realm of small businesses. Many of them are one-woman shows!

You can use our Store Locator Feature to find local yarn shops near you across the USA. It’s also good for finding yarn shops in other states if you are planning to travel this holiday season.

As you probably know, we’re also distributing in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand now. Follow this link to find a list of yarn shops in those countries.

Both links will also show shops that have online shopping, in case you don’t have a yarn shop in your town.

Remember to tell your family that most yarn shops offer gift certificates, which will make it easy for them to get you a gift.
