It’s always exciting when the seasons change and you’ve been knitting with winter weight yarns then you start working on summer projects with lighter yarns and brighter colors…the same applies to designing…I love switching to summer designs and looking at all the bright colors that are like jewels..it’s uplifting to know sunny days will be upon us.

For Spring/Summer 10, we have 2 gorgeous colorful books released. Book 19 “Shades of Paradise” featuring beautiful colors and yarns from the summer range. Introducing Milky Soft, a blend of cotton and milk fibers in a delicious palette of colors. We also added some more jewely colors to the existing range of Bamboo silk.

Book 20 “Summer Fair” is a lovely bright collection of summer garments for children. Featuring Bamboo Silk and Milky Soft, the projects are fun and functional for younger kids.

I hope you enjoy these 2 new books in the Ella Rae collection, they were lots of fun to design and put together even though the day we shot “Shades of Paradise” it was 43 degrees Celsius (over 100 Fahrenheit!!)..the girls might look cool and unfazed, but behind the scenes I was wilting…still, at least we weren’t shooting for winter!
